A linearised small signal model of an HVDC link

Abstract

In this paper a new method is presented for calculating of the harmonic components of DC votage and positive and negative sequence ac current of both rectifier and inverter sides of ac HVDC link. The HVDC conveters are represented by linearised small signal model and the calculations are based on the Fourier series calculations presented in our last work. To validate the method, a comparison is made with the PSCAD/EMTDC time domain simulation program.
